Hey guys, this is just a super quick journal entry asking if you'd please vote for me in this costume contest that FUNimation is having!

I've entered my Nurse Stocking costume, since I'm super proud of having made the whole thing :'D

There's today and tomorrow left for voting, and you can vote once per day! I'd be super super happy if I even make it to the top 4. Right now I'm #8.

...and it was terrible. Definitely not going back next year.

I feel like I should post an update since my last one is from like July or something.

The only thing really coming up is that I'm moving back to school next weekend. The next con I'm going to is Newcon PDX, which is the weekend of New Year's. It'll be fun, just a little casual party con. It's also the weekend before ALA, so I'm gonna consider it my like "practice" con lol. I'll also try to bring Muginami and enter her in the costume contest, since I'm gonna work really hard on that costume :'3

Oh, speaking of making costumes-
I'm really disappointed in myself because I gained a lot of weight recently. I gained back pretty much all of what I had lost last summer, which is pretty frustrating. I've been busy this summer with moving and packing and unpacking and all that bs, but once I move into my dorm room I'm going to be where I'm living for the whole school year. SO, I'm going to kick into gear! I'm going to get back into running in the mornings, and I'm going to get back into dancing. I'm also taking a yoga class again, man I'm so ready for this!
So what this has to do with costumes is that I'm going to stop working on them (except for buying materials) until I'm happy with my body again. By ALA, I'd like to be super hot for all my costumes!

1. Anime Expo

OH MY GOD ANIME EXPO WAS AMAZING. I got to meet so many awesome people- cosplayers, industry people, voice actors, it was amazing! Working with American Cosplay Paradise and FUNimation was amazing, they really treated me so well. I really hope I can work for them again!
It was also an amazing experience being "the" Stocking at some big events, like the official panel and the autograph signings. It was my first time working at a con, so I hope I did well! :'D People were really sweet to me, both the staff and the con attendees, and a lot of people said I was a really good Stocking which will always make me happy!

was my Panty for the majority of the con, and she was super fun! The two of us went on Nico Nico when we were out promoting the anime, and that can be seen here! Watch out, it's pretty lewd ;3

FUNimation was kind enough to give me the special edition DVD of Panty & Stocking as well as the limited edition t-shirt they gave away with it, and I was also able to get a signed poster by the cast

2. VACATION

This week I'll be channeling my inner Mugi/Takane/insert Ojou-sama of your choice because I'm going up to the San Juan Islands with my family! I wanted to do a post-AX vlog before I left but until a few days ago, my voice has been destroyed.

I'll have internet, but it might be spotty, so instead I'll be playing Animal Crossing on my DS and watching anime from my external hard drive. Oh and I guess interacting with my family or something? That's what normal people do, right?

3. Kumoricon...

I was originally really excited for Kumoricon, but AX completely wiped out my bank account so I'm not sure I'll be able to actually afford to make any costumes. One costume I know 100% for sure I'll be able to get together is genderbent Bruce Banner so I can be a Science Ho with and ;D I really wanted to make Tsubaki from Soul Eater, but unfortunately I might need to put it off >:

Otherwise I'll be re-wearing Ringo and Stocking for sure, but it's not like I don't have a closet full of costumes I've worn only once. I may as well bring Ritsu from K-ON as a comfy costume, and maybe Kanna from Ano Natsu since I only got a few pictures at Fanime. Then maybe Engineer...? If brought Thumbelina I'd be so down to be Mrs. Toad, but I think she might be too busy haha.

I've JUST set up a Storenvy account so I can sell some items, so I'll be rolling that out after I'm back from vacation!

Lots of updates haha. Hopefully I'll be able to pull through and have a great Kumoricon!

-Default Stocking @ Official Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt panel starting at 11:30 am, and then at the P&S autograph session starting at 1 pm!

Monday/Day 4:
-Sailor Stocking @ 10 am til noon Funimation booth in the Dealer's Hall, then at the P&S autograph session starting at noon!
